I have been terrible at blogging. I will make this post short and sweet.
We moved to California, and we really enjoy it. We live in a small farm town and I personally love it. I am currently staying home with Oakley while Jas works. I am hoping to start doing hair as soon as we get back from the holidays in Utah.
Jason starts his last round of school Dec 9, and will finish in April. Oak and I are so proud of him!
Oak is full of personality and into everything. She is such an amazing blessing. We love her so much.
We are expecting baby #2 in June, and are excited for the journey.
I feel truly blessed and am greatful for the challenges we have faced the past year. We hope everyone has a great holiday season.

Long Time No Update

Wow! It has been a long time since I have updated our blog. I am going to do a brief update.
July: Oakley turned TWO! She is at such a fun age right now and I seriously can't believe my baby is growing up so fast.
Oak and I also moved to Pensacola, Florida to be closer to Jason.
August: Oak and I would go to the beach almost everyday. Jas got to live with us on the weekends out there so that was a nice treat!
September: Jason graduted from A school and we found out we will be spending the next 4 years in Lemoore, California.
We drove to Utah from Florida on the 23rd of September, and we are enjoying our time here with family and friends.
October: We are moving on the 10th to California and are so excited! We hope to have many great things happen in the 4 years that we are there.

Another Weekend

We had a pretty good weekend. Oak was not feeling so hot, so we cuddled, watched movies, went to dinner, went to Vaeh's first birthday, and just hung out. My family had a birthday party for me last night because I will be in Florida this weekend for the real thing, and it was bitter sweet with Jas being gone. I am sure there will be many events in the future that he will be missing, so I need to get used to it.
On a lighter note the hubby starts his schooling tomorrow! FINALLY YAY!!!!! So I am not sure what the future holds, but as of now Oak and I will be moving to Florida in September with him. I honestly can't wait! I am flying out there on Thursday night to spend the weekend with him. I am sad about leaving Oak, but at the same time so excited for some alone time with Jas. Here are two pictures of my silly girl over the weekend.

We had such a fun weekend! We made a mess of the house, danced a lot(mostly the potty dance), went to lagoon, played in the dirt, searched for rocks, played ring around the rosie, and took goofy pictures. It was the perfect weekend. The ONLY thing that would have made it better is having Jas here to share it with us!!!

The past 10 weeks with Jas being gone, I have kind of distanced myself from some close friends. I have not really realized I have done this until now. I have missed birthday party's for your kiddos(sorry Ash and Michon) I have missed births and meeting your new additions (sorry Ciege and Amy) I have missed girl lunches (sorry Hols and Ciege and whoever else went to Del Taco) What I am getting at is I am sorry to all of you for not being apart of these fun things in your lives. I have plenty more to post :) I was trying to "hype" Oak up with sugar at graduation because she was so tired, The one of me is me smiling because I was so happy to see Jas, and there are other random pics I took as well. My hubby looked sexier then ever and Oak and I could not be more proud of him!!!!!
I am pretty bummed because Jas was supposed to come home from schooling June 27, and now it won't be until September sometime :( I am trying to stay positive and focus on the good in all of this. We just miss him so much!!!

JASON FINALLY CALLED YESTERDAY!!!!!!

So Jas got his official job!!! He will be going to AT-O school which is ONLY seven weeks!!! That means we have decided it is best for me to stay here, and then we will move together only once. He will graduate school the last week of JUNE, and then we will be here in UTAH for TWO weeks before moving to our final duty station! I am honestly SO excited for our future.

We fly out in 9 DAYS to CHICAGO...and we get to see Jas in 11!!! Its about time we get to see that sexy man!!!!!

Oak and I took a random trip with some of my fam to St. George over the weekend. It was so much fun! We went to the Splash Park, Pool, Ate a ton of yummy food, shopped, and just hung out. It was perfect!

Poop in the Potty twice and pee multiple times this week! I was not planning on training her for a few more months, and one day she just walked to the potty and told me "pee pee" and it went from there! I am so proud of my little boogie! (I must be a mom getting excited over pee and poo) She is a wild little 20 month old these days, but I would not want it any different!

Woo Hoo!!! Jas graduates on May 6, 2011!!!! I am so freaking excited to see him! There will be A LOT of firsts for me, so anyone who has any advice let me know!
-flying ALONE with a toddler
-going to Chicago
-Renting a car
-Making my way from the airport to my hotel(this will be fun since I am horrible with directions)
-Making it on time to the base for graduation w a toddler (starts at 8:00am and you have to be there at least an hour in advance bc of lines)
-Keeping Miss Oak entertained during graduation

Jas is officially in Great Lakes Illinois. For some reason I thought that Boot Camp would be easy for me to adjust to. It has been 24 hours since he left and I am having a really hard time! He called me yesterday to let me know he made it and this is how the conversation went...
Jason: Hello Mollie
Me: Hi
Jason: I am calling to tell you that you will be getting another call in 3 weeks and a package in 2 weeks
Me: Okay that sounds great, are you ok?
Jason: I have to go, love you and goodbye....
Before I could even say I love you back and bye he was gone!!!! What the heck?! That call was hard on me not only because I am sure he had someone above him in rank standing right next to him while he made it monitoring how long he talked for, or because he sounded like a robot, or because it was SO short.
Ahhhh 9 weeks before I get to see him. I know I sound like a big baby, but I really miss him. I am extremely proud of him for doing this and for giving our family this new adventure to go on.
I know Oakley misses him like crazy. Luckily we moved in with my parents so she is enjoying all the Grandma and Grandpa time. She adores them. She is also having a hard time because we had to have our dog go live with Jason's cousin for this 9 weeks. Oakley loves her dog.
Hopefully we will settle into a routine in the next week or two so things will be easier.

I am in a total FUNK right now... I am just kinda blah. Jas leaves in one week and it really is hitting me. I am going to miss him a lot, and I am scared for whats ahead of us.... I have never been away from my family or friends for very long... A new state scares me! I hate not knowing things going on in the military either. I am new to all of this and I keep getting asked so many questions and feel like I have none of the answers. I am hoping I will figure them all out soon!
If I act distant the next week or so, its probably because I am in this funk... I am not trying to be rude if I don't return your calls, or texts. I do care! Hope all is well with everyone :)

Thats is RIGHT! Only 44 more days until the Pedersen household will change. It will be here before we know it. I am having mixed feelings about this whole military stuff. I am so happy for Jason and so excited to go on this journey, BUT I am TERRIFIED! A new state, new people, new friends, no family... Up until today I have been pretty casual about it all and now its finally hitting me. I am excited though!
As for an update on the fam. Jas is still working for Horizon Foods and will be quitting in a couple weeks so he has some spare time before he leaves. I am still at Tosh. I am in that phase where I don't know what I wan't to do. Go back to school, stay working at Tosh, go back to working at a salon, stay at home with Oak... Hopefully I will get it figured out soon! I keep getting the question from EVERYONE am I going to get pregnant before Jason leaves for Boot Camp.... The answer is No! :) As much as we would love to have baby number 2, we are no where ready for that right now. We are enjoying Oakley so much and our lives will be hectic the next little while with the military. Once we get settled we will re evaluate:) As for our sweet Oakley she is absolutely amazing! I could not ask for a more sweet spirit to be in our home. She is so full of life(and energy) and brings such joy to us. The past 18 months have been so amazing and I have grown so much as a person from being her mommy. Hope all is well with everyone, and I will try to update more!

Well it is OFFICIAL.... Jas was sworn into the NAVY this morning! It is SURREAL that it FINALLY happened. He will be leaving to Boot Camp MARCH 9 for 9 weeks and then WE will be moving to Pensacola Florida for SIX MONTHS while Jason goes through schooling for his job! I am so excited for all of the CRAZY adventures headed our way and I could not be more PROUD of my hubby! I love you babe:)

Man O Man can I say how much I love this little girl?! Oak is at such a fun age right now. Her little personality is so sweet, funny, and naughty all at the same time. She is a total Diva! October already?!

Anyways, not much is new our way. Oak keeps getting bigger and bigger and talking more and more. She is obsessed with purses and our dog Karra. She loves to cuddle and she loves being able to cruise around the house by herself. Her personality is so much fun right now. She is saying a lot of words, but my favorite thing that she says is Karra's name. She holds the "a" for a really long time so its almost like Kaaaaaaaaaaaaarra. She tries to copy everything you do and say. (Jas and I better watch what we say now) I have enjoyed every phase of our little Boogies life. I can't wait to see whats in store for us next!

Adam Ashton, 25, is fighting T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. All proceeds will go to Adam to help him with his accruing medical bills.

Call me crazy, but I totally believe in KARMA. I feel like everything you do has a consequence. I have been thinking a lot lately about this person in paticular who has had a lot going on in their life, but on top of it trys to "cheat the system" on things, gets "bailed out" on everything they do wrong, and has an "excuse " for almost everything. It wears me out thinking about this person. I have spent so much time wondering why KARMA has not taken its toll... How wrong of me.
Lately I have been comparing my life to many others I know, and even strangers who I have come across while "blog stalking". Everything seems so perfect in their lives. Then again do you ever blog about the bad times? Do you ever go out to lunch with friends and hear about everything that is wrong? No... I always wonder if things in my life would be different if I just held open the door for someone, or smiled in their direction. I have learned so much in my life and have made many mistakes that I have learned from. I definitely believe in KARMA...

A lot has been going on our way... For the 4th we went on a family trip to St. George. We had a blast swimming and eating and Oakley loved hanging out with all of her cousins. I will have to post pictures later:)

Next we had my Aunts 70th birthday party and we got Oakleys face painted. She had SO much fun and she loved eating the balloon animal she had made for her.

Last of all we had Oak's FIRST BIRTHDAY party on Saturday!!(her actual birthday is the 26th) It was perfect. We have so many great family and friends and are truly blessed. Again I will post pictures later...

Oakley is so full of it these days! She is into everything and is so much fun! The other day I found her in the kennel with Karra just sitting there having a conversation. Now Oak thinks its her little "hideout" so I had to take a picture of our new "puppy" :)

She is obsessed with corn on the cob also. She is trying to be brave and is starting to let go of the furniture while standing, so I am sure it is just a matter of time before she takes off! The past 11 months have seriously flown by and I honestly can't believe my baby will be ONE is a few weeks!

Oakley FINALLY said MOM!!!! Hooray! I am a very proud mama:) It is my favorite thing to hear. Funny story... Jas and I went away for our Anniversary on Saturday and when I walked in the door on Sunday, Oakley was sitting on the floor and she looked up and started clapping and yelled "DADA" (I think she has us a little mixed up) She is honestly so much fun right now and this personality she has developed is so funny. We love her to pieces.
On a different note, Jas and I found a new place to move in to and we are so excited! I will post pictures as soon as we get the move over with and everything all set up. That is about all of the updates for us right now. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter:)

Today I have been thinking about how lucky I am to be blessed with such an amazing daughter and husband. I think back to how my life was a year ago, and how different it was and I would not change any of it for the world.
Oakley is such a joy to me, and she makes my day so much brighter. Her personality just makes you smile no matter what. I love her sassy attitude, and her dramatic mood swings:) She makes my heart melt! I can't thank her enough for coming into my life and making me a stronger person, patient, and best of all a Mom.
My husband Jason and I have been through so much in the past three years, but mainly in the past year. We got married, had a baby, and are trying to make it all work. He keeps me sane(for the most part) and he always knows how to cheer me up when I am down. He is my rock, my love, my best friend. I have grown so much with him from an individual stand point and as a couple. He is one of the most amazing people that I know. He has a zest for life that I can't describe. I love him with all of my heart and soul and would not change anything about him.

As for the latest on the Pedersens... Oakley finally got her first tooth a few days before she hit 7 months and she is working on the second one. She loves to use her voice and to smile. She is into everything and loves to scoot on her back. She still does not love her tummy, but is realizing if she wants to get from point A to point B she needs to start loving it.

Jason and I are enjoying Oakley and love her sweet spirit. She is such a joy to us. We feel very blessed to have such a perfect little angel. We love you BOOGIE:)

Happy New Year(a little late) Oakley is almost 6 months old and I really can't believe how fast that went by. She is so funny and has developed the best personality. She is rolling, scooting, grabbing everything, has discovered how loud her voice is, and her favorite thing is to say DADA. Someday I am sure MAMA will happen:) She still has no teeth and hardly any hair. It is crazy how much she has changed. I love every stage she has gone through so far, and I really cant wait to see the rest! I will post some pictures later today.

4 Months

Well it has been a very long time since I have blogged. Not much is new except for Miss Oakley growing! She is now 4 months. Here are a few things about her...
*She weighs 14 and a half pounds (chunker)
*She is short and stubby only 23 inches
*She tried rice cereal last night and LOVED it
*She sleeps 8 hours if not more during the night
*She loves to smile
*She is trying to roll
*She loves to tell stories
*She loves her mama:)
I love this little girl SO much and am so greatful for her! Happy Holidays everyone!

Not much has been going on in our family lately... Just loving Miss Oakley! We took her to her 2 month appointment and she is 11 pounds! She is getting chunky and is FINALLY in the 54% range! The past visits she has only been 7% or less so it makes us happy she is growing. She is smiling a ton now and loves to listen to her mama babble on and on to her:) I am so blessed to have such a perfect little angel in my life!

It has been awhile since I have blogged... Oakley will be 1 month old tomorrow. It is so crazy how fast time flys! I love her so much and could not picture my life without her. I will post some pictures of her tomorrow. I am loving being off work and spending every second with Oakley. She fascinates me daily. I am so greatful to have her in my life!

Oakley is here:) She was born on Sunday July 26 2009 @ 9:58pm. She was 4 weeks early, but is amazing! Here is a pic from when we took her home. I love this girl So much!

Labor Pains

On Sunday night I woke up to having some lovely contractions every 5-7 minutes, but thought I was crazy and tried not to wake Jason up or worry too much. After spending most of the night up I finally got up to get ready for work and went in. My contractions by this point were getting more intense and closer together so I called my doc and she told me to go into Labor and Delivery to get checked out. I went in and got monitored for a few hours and I was having the contractions at this point every 2-3 minutes lasting about a minute to a minute and a half. I am such a WUSS because I thought I was going to die! lol I have no idea how women do it:) They decided Oakley needed to cook a little longer and gave me some meds to stop it all. I am having contractions now every 10-15 minutes which is better, but still not lots of fun:) This is kinda gross, but I lost my "plug" yesterday morning as well so my doc said I am well on my way to getting Oakley here:) She said it could be anywhere from hours to a couple weeks! Its so crazy to me that she could be here anyday! I have had some good advice and help from friends that have had babies that I appreciate SO MUCH! I think I would be freaking out much more if it weren't for them. I will keep our blog posted on any updates or if Oakley decides she is ready to come:)

Crazy week

It has been a crazy week! Jasons dad has been in and out of the hospital since September and they could never figure out what was wrong. In early June he went into the hospital for emergency sx and got a lot of his intestine taken out. They told him recovery would be about a week... Over a month later he was still in the hospital because his body was not getting any better. They did another sx about 2 weeks ago and found out his intestine was all mushy and dying and there was nothing they could do about it. The family on Thursday decided to take out his breathing tubes and let him just have medication and oxygen to ease the pain and to let him pass when he was ready because the docs said he would have no quality of life if they kept him on the support. He survived the night Thursday and passed peacefully in the hospital with family at his side around 11:45 Friday. We had the viewing Monday night and the funeral on Tuesday. It has been very hard to watch just because he was only 49 years old. I wish my husbands family the best and want them to know I love them:)
On a lighter note Jason FINALLY decided on Oakleys middle name!!!! Yay!!! Her full name is going to be Oakley Kate Pedersen:) I am so excited and think Jas did a really good job on picking it out. We are getting so excited to meet her and so nervous at the same time! It is hard to believe Jas and I will have another life to look after. I went into the doc's today and I am measuring a little big, but right on track and she also informed me im border line of having preclamsia... I knew it all along! I have been swelling like crazy for a few months now and I am glad she is finally thinking it could be an issue. She just said she will keep watching me week by week and if she thinks taking Oakley early is necessary we will discuss it at that point. Only 29 more days though!!!! Yay!

4th of July weekend

Jason and I decided to get away for our last time before Oakley came into our lives.... My family always goes to St.George every 4th of July so we spent a few days with them. We just relaxed, went swimming, bought WAY 2 much for Oakley, and ate tons of food:) It was nice to get away.
I finally found the perfect curtains for the nursery and a couple other odds and ends so I am hoping to get it all done by this weekend:) It is hard to believe there is only like 35 days left until we get to meet our baby girl:) I love her so much and am so greatful that she was brought into our lives!

I just want to tell my work friends thank you so much for the baby shower last night! I had so much fun being with all of you and Oakley is going to be one stylin kid:) I am excited to get her here and to be able to use all of the fun things you all gave her. Thank you again!

I went in for my glucose test on the 29th of May and got put on bed rest due to high blood pressure, and what my hubby likes to call cankles:) I went in a week later and got the ok to go back to work Part time... It is so nice being back! I still have those lovely cankles and I am trying to take care of my self and Oakley. My glucose test looked great which is a relief! I always stress about all of that stuff:) I keep counting down the days and I think there is roughly 64 left! I can't believe it! I started experiencing contractions, hot flashes, being way uncomfortable this past week and I honestly love it. It sounds weird, but I really like being pregnant(even with my sexy cankles) I am getting closer to getting her room all finished and then we get to play the wait game. I really can't wait to have her here! :)

77 DAYS!

Oakley comes in 77 days (give or take a few) It has flown by so stinkin fast! She is growing like crazy and getting so strong! She is very active now and is not shy anymore about letting others actually feel her move. I am having so much fun enjoying her in my belly. I can't wait until we get to meet our beautiful baby girl!

We finally came to an agreement on a name... and her name is going to be OAKLEY!!!! Jason gets to choose her middle name, so for now she will be Oakley Pedersen. I knew being a brat until I got to name her that would pay off:)

I went to the doctors today and I am measuring two weeks earlier then the due date they gave me. The doc is going to measure me at my next visit and if it is still like that she said she will change my due date:) Our little girl is 15 cm long and 1 pound 2.5 ounces, She is a little chunker:) I can't believe how fast time is flying by!

Goodness I am moody! It has only been for the last two weeks and I am seriously a nut case! I feel so bad for my poor hubby to have to put up with me. Help!!!! Jas and I can't agree on a name for our daughter! I am in love with the name Oakley and he hates it! He thinks of the sun glasses brand when he hears it. LAME!!!!:) He likes the names Ashley or Brooke which I like, but I have friends with those names and they are pretty common. So I need your help on which name you like best.... Oakley? Ashley? Brookelynn? Help!!!!

I went in last Wednesday for my 20 week appointment and got the testing done for down syndrome and all of that. I got my results today and everything is NORMAL!!!! I am very relieved! We got the baby measured and everything is right on track:) They told us she is for sure a girl so Jas FINALLY believes it. NERD! She is growing like crazy and I can feel her kick me now. She was being stubborn during the ultrasound trying to get all her parts measured, so she already is taking after her daddy! :)
